Dear Mr. Moore,

My name is Angie and I have been a great fan or your works since my high school years (aka 8 years back!). I'm currently in my master’s degree at University of Ottawa, in my nation's capital. As you may know, we too are in the middle of an election campaign and I wanted to tell you that your latest movie ''Slacker uprising'' made me realize something. Here in Canada, a few thousand students like me have to leave their native province in order to pursue scholastic goals because the current education system in place doesn't empower us to reach our goals at home (A.K.A the French minority have to move out to go to French-speaking universities although we live in a ''bilingual country'') Therefore, in an election time like this one, thousands of 18-25yrs old won't vote just because they aren't in their circumscription (riding) and they are too lazy(or ignorant) to go and get a special vote ballot in order to get their voices heard

And what's worse is that NOBODY is stepping up to fight this beside student bodies! I haven't seen a deputy or a party leader reaching out to the young voters. Your movie says it all-change will only come if us, the young voters, us slackers get off our buns and go vote! And personally Mike, I think that we need a change too because Harper is scary and Canada doesn't need another 2 years of his influence...and I also think that our troops should come home too.

So what I'm really trying to say is that I will do my part and fulfill the message your movie is trying to get through- I will personally rally everyone in my department that's an out-of-town voter and bring them to the Elections Canada bureau to help them get their special vote ballot, because it's our right and every vote counts!

Thanks Mike,

Angie
